RaeRae of Light was founded in 2020 in memory of our angel Reagan who was born with a congenital heart defect (CHD) who we sadly lost at 6 months old. While we are devastated, Reagan’s battle with CHD is the inspiration behind everything we do and we are determined to continue the legacy of her short but impactful life.
OUR MISSION
We are a volunteer-based nonprofit that works tirelessly to raise funds and create awareness in support of children and families affected by congenital heart defects.
Our primary goal is to alleviate the financial burden that many families face with their medically complex child. Through our RAE IT FORWARD™ Direct Family Support program, we support children and their families battling CHD by supporting them in impactful ways. We assist with medical expenses, household needs, utilities, gas, food, clothing, or other support the family needs throughout their CHD journey. We also work diligently to create awareness by promoting the newly released Arizona Congenital Heart Defect specialty license plate that directly funds CHD research at Phoenix Children’s Hospital Center for Heart Care. Sharing Reagan’s story on Good Morning Arizona and showcasing the new CHD specialty license plate that will fund CHD research at Phoenix Children’s.
Unveiling the new CHD Specialty License Plate at Phoenix Children’s Hospital! RaeRae of Light worked in conjunction with state legislators and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey signed this bill in April of 2021. We then worked tirelessly on the perfect design! There is a plate fee of $25 through the Arizona Department of Transportation to which $17 of each plate will directly go to the Phoenix Children’s Center for Heart Care.
